Arrival
- Pick up from Bari airport.
- Arrival in Gioia del Colle and transfer to your accommodation: rest and free time.
1st day
- Visit of Matera and its Unesco’s site “the Sassi” (cave houses, rocky churches where time seems to stop)
- Focaccia tasting in an ancient bakery with a wood burning oven in Altamura, town famous for its bread
- Lunch in a selected restaurant
- Guided tour of Gioia del Colle: the castle and its museum, the churches, the historical center
- Return to Gioia: rest and free evening
2nd day
- Visit of Polignano a mare and its wonderful sea
- Guided tour of Monopoli, sea side town featuring waterfront, cathedral and whitewashed houses
- Lunch in a “slow food” restaurant
- Guided tour of Alberobello: walk among the trulli and the historical quarter
- Return to Gioia and free evening
3rd day
- Visit of Trani: the little fishing port, the Templar Knights’ church, the historical center
- Guided tour of Barletta featuring Frederik II’s castle, Norman Cathedral and Medieval historical center
- Lunch in a typical restaurant in the countryside selected by “Michelin’s guide”
- Return to Gioia
4th day
- Walking in Locorotondo, lovely white town in the Itria Valley
- Guided tour of Martina Franca, queen of baroque towns in Puglia
- Departure to Speziale and lunch in a slow-food restaurant
- Visit of Ostuni: a charming place on a hilltop with a labyrinth of lanes lined with houses painted in white lime
- Return to Gioia
5th day
- Guided tour of Lecce. Walk among the most famous baroque city in Italy: wonderful churches, monuments with neverending details and old roman theatres in the middle of the historical centre
- Visit to Otranto lovely coastal village famous for the largest mosaic in Europe
- Lunch in a family-run restaurant
- Return to Gioia
6th day
- walking tour in Putignano, feauturing a Norman cathedral and whitewashed houses
- Cooking class in a typical “masseria” in the countryside; picking of the vegetables from their garden and preparation of hand made pasta
- Guided tour of a family run winery in the country side of Gioia and tasting of “Primitivo” wine
- Return to Gioia
Departure
- Meet at the hall of the hotel
- Arrival to Bari airport and goodbye
