4 day Cookery Course
Learn the secrets of the Italian food and wine

One culinary adventure per day. Such is life in Puglia, a bountiful region with hundreds of miles of coastline surrounding this peninsula which accounts for its wealth of seafood, greater olive, grape and wheat production than any other region in Italy, and a host of indigenous pastas, cheeses and meats. Join us and like all our clients, you will say "I have never tasted better or fresher food!"

Arrival

• 6.30pm - Pick up from Bari train station.
• 7.00pm - Arrival in Conversano and transfer to your accommodation: a 4 star historical residence with a discreet and impeccable service. Rest and free time.
• 8.30pm - Dinner in a typical restaurant.

1st day:

• 9.30am - Meet at the hall of the hotel.
• 9.50am - Guided tour of Gioia del Colle: the castle and its museum, the churches, the historical center.
• 11.00am - Arrive at a family-run winery and tasting.
• 1.30pm - Lunch in a selected restaurant in Gioia del Colle.
• 4.30pm - 1st cookery class in a trullo in the country (dinner included).
• 8.30pm - Return to Conversano: rest and free evening.

2nd day:

• 9.30am - Meet at the hall of the hotel.
• 9.50am - Arrival to the oil mill and tasting.
• 11.00am - Guided tour of Alberobello: walk among the trulli, visit of the trullo sovrano and meseum.
• 12.30am - Visit of Polignano a mare and its wonderful sea.
• 1.30pm - Lunch in a “slow food” restaurant.
• 4.30pm - 2nd cookery class in a trullo in the country (dinner included).
• 8.30pm - Return to Conversano and free evening.

3rd day:

• 9.30am - Meet at the hall of the hotel.
• 10.30am – Visit of Matera and its Unesco’s site “the Sassi”.
• 12.00am - Focaccia tasting in a very old bakery with a wood burning oven in Altamura, town famous for its DOP bread.
• 1.30pm – Lunch in a selected restaurant in Gravina.
• 4.30pm – 3rd cookery class (dinner included).
• 8.30pm – return to Conversano: rest and free evening.

4th day:

• 10.00am - Meet at the hall of the hotel.
• 10.30am – Guided tour of the large and famous complex of caves with amazing rock formations in Castellana Grotte.
• 1.00pm – departure to Locorotondo.
• 1.30pm - Lunch in a slow-food restaurant in the historical center.
• 4.30pm – 4th cookery class (dinner included).
• 8.00pm – return to Conversano and free evening.

Departure

• 8.45am – Meet at the hall of the hotel.
• 9.15am – Arrival to Bari train station and goodbye.
