3 day tour – Castles, cookery course, wine tasting, trulli,
sea and countryside

For this longer stay your accomadation will be a 4 stars historical residence in Conversano with stone vaults, bent tiles, wooden beams and every room is equipped with modern services and comforts. After the collection from the airport or station and transfer to your accommodation where we will meet you with a welcome drink, you could have a chance to rest in your room. In the evening you will have dinner in a typical selected restaurant.
The following morning after breakfast you will visit Gioia del Colle including its castle, museum, ancient churches and the historical centre. Before noon, you’ll get to the wine cellar where you will see its production methods before concluding your visit with a wonderful wine tasting session in the vineyards. Lunch will follow in a “slow food” restaurant. The afternoon will be devoted to the visit of Matera, one of the 3 Unesco heritage sites in our tours. Your evening is free where you can go shopping or dine in typical pizzeria.
The second day, we will depart for a visit to the small town of Polignano and its splendid sea and its breathtaking waterfront. After lunch in a local restaurant with a beautiful view on the sea, in the first afternoon we will visit Alberobello and its famous "trulli" (white houses with the roof that is a grey cone of stones). Lastly, we will go to one of the oil mill, to learn the procedures and techniques that take place in the production of an inimitable extra virgin olive oil. An oil tasting session shall take place in the garden of olive trees.
In the evening, you will probably be tired and may want to rest, but the local restaurants may well tempt you.
The third day, departure for Castel del Monte (UNESCO heritage site). The most famous symbol of Puglia, a fascinating and mysterious castle situated in an isolated and dominant position on the top of a hill. Then visit of Trani and free walk in the historical part f the town and along the beautiful waterfront. Lunch in a “masseria” in the countryside and return to Conversano for the cooking class where you’ll learn how to prepare and cook typical apulian food such as taralli, cicorie with broad beans purea and olive oil grilled vegetables. Once again, your evening is free where you dine, shop or explore.
Transfer to the airport or station is after breakfast the following morning… and goodbye.
